Supreme Court rules on dowry trust in marriage gifts case

The Supreme Court ruled that dowry and traditional presents given at marriage do not automatically imply they are entrusted to the bride's parents-in-law under Section 6. This section mandates that dowry received by anyone other than the bride must be transferred to her and held in trust until the transfer is completed.
