Ex-TN minister Balaji granted bail by SC in money laundering case

The Supreme Court on Thursday granted bail to former Tamil Nadu minister V Senthil Balaji in a money laundering case related to a 2014 cash-for-jobs scam. Balaji's counsel had dismissed the possibility that Balaji can influence witnesses upon his release since he no longer holds a portfolio. He also noted that Balaji had undergone a bypass surgery last year.
