When December began, there were 102 containment zones and active cases were 286. While the number of containment zones have increased by nearly nine times, active cases have jumped by a massive 1,442%.
One trend has remained static. Throughout the month, more than half of the containment zones were located in south Delhi, divided mostly between South and South East revenue districts. Currently, a large number of containment zones have also come up in Vasant Kunj, Vasant Vihar, RK Puram, Sarojini Nagar, etc, which fall under New Delhi district.
